Suicide is never an easy subject. Unfortunately, we lose people who are close to us or close to those we love. No matter what, taking your own life is NOT the answer.
For those that struggle with mental health issues, they often can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Although not always in sight, it IS there, and you WILL make it through.
I have been a big believer in looking for the good, although it is not always easy. My mother taught me that there is a silver lining. There is someone who loves you, whether they tell you or not, there is and they need you in their life. There are always those people you haven’t met yet. The best is yet to come. All those cheesy saying a true. It may come off as silly but they were written for a reason.
The show 13 Reasons Why has been very controversial due to its involvement with suicide. Personally, I think, just like Selena Gomez (a producer) has said, that the show is trying to show those who are struggling that people do love you. Those that get left behind are left feeling guilty and living with the fact that their love wasn’t enough or they couldn’t help you.
If you or a loved one is struggling, PLEASE reach out to a professional. Below is a website that is all about helping prevent suicide and getting help for those who need it.
